BLT Marketing and Design has been responsible for publishing Revolt In Style Magazine since 2007 after purchasing the publication. The monthly periodical had been in print since the mid 80’s under one form or another. The publication changed hands and changed formats multiple times from a New Wave Music & Underground Club magazine to a Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll low brow collegiate humor rag.
When BLT took over the publication in 2007, Revolt In Style took on a whole new persona and was re-imagined as a positive tastemaker publication for Southern California. Brian took over as Creative Head, Editor In Chief & Lead Graphic Designer. Leslie assumed the roles of Music Editor, Fashion & Style Editor, Photographer and Web Master. Both contributed as journalists and ambassadors to the publication. Over the next dozen years the two were responsible for countless musician, celebrity and athlete interviews, editorial columns, photo shoots, food & drink reviews, new product & gear previews & so much more.
BLT has worked with a long list of talented writers, editors, artists, photographers, videographers over the years. Beth Accomando, Eric Hendrikx & Taylor Robinson are just a few of the talented writers. Joe Foster, Aaron Goulding, Jon Tiffin, Bo Cross and Derek Plank are just a handful of the talented lensmen that have added amazing photography to the pages of the publication.
There is also a legacy of fairly infamous ‘RIS Issue Release Parties’ that were attended by the many VIP’s, friends & followers of the publication over the years. The events coincided with the release of each new issue of Revolt – they took place at numerous nightclub & beach venues and featured live bands, DJ’s, fashion shows, art galleries & movie releases, many with the notorious RIS raffles for various fundraisers. BLT hosted the events with a long list of sponsors and together raised many thousands of dollars for local charities and causes.
BLT has traveled the entire West Coast covering sporting events, concerts, festivals, trade shows and any other event they deemed worthy to share with their readers and followers online.
